European ground and inland transport training content:
In this online logistics training, we will look at some essential information related to inland transport in Europe.
We will start by introducing inland transport and the modes which compose this transport category as well as review the main involved parties and logistics providers.
We will then discuss the difference between legal and oversized cargo and help you understand how to determine in which category your cargo or load falls.
The next part will concern the standard road transport modes: Full Truckload (FTL) and Less Than Truckload (LTL). We will review these in details, and address what they are, how to book them, what equipment they use, how they work and how to price them.
We will close this part by looking at some standard road transport related documentation, legislation, and restrictions.
In the second half of this training, we will look at oversized road transport before moving on to rail transport and inland waterways, barge transport – here also providing enough information to ensure you understand the essentials of these modes.
We will then wrap up this inland transport logistics training before you move on to a final exam which will help validate the information acquired in this inland transport module.
The total run time of this logistics training is approximately 205 minutes.
User experience duration is expected to be around 4 to 5 hours but may vary due to interactive parts and reflection time.
A final exam is available and will help validate the acquired knowledge in this Incoterm training.
A completion certificate is available upon successful completion.
